Meet the Cast of Million Dollar Quartet

Jim Ballard (Sam Phillips)

Jim is excited to be back at TheatreZone. Some theatre credits include: Capt. Von Trapp in the National and International Tours of The Sound of Music, Sam and Bill-Mamma Mia!, Father Flynn-Doubt, Chris-All My Sons, Lockstock (Carbonell Award)-Urinetown, Mayor Dobbs-Bright Star, Valmont-Les Liasions Dangereuses, Father-Ragtime, Shrdlu (Carbonell Award)-The Adding Machine, Julian Marsh-42nd St., Gyp DeCarlo-Jersey Boys. TV credits: The Good Fight, Army Wives, Burn Notice, and two seasons on Nickelodeon’s I Am Frankie as Dr. Clarence Kingston. Upcoming: Apple TV series, Bad Monkey, with Vince Vaughn. To my Kimba, Swampers. To all those who served, Semper Fi.

Scott Crawford (Fluke)

Scott Crawford is a freelance percussionist based in Southwest Florida. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maryland School of Music, a Masters from Chicago College of Performing Arts, and a Performers Certificate from Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL. Mr. Crawford currently performs as a Member of The Huntsville Symphony (Huntsville, AL), Palm Beach Opera, Palm Beach Symphony and Florida Grand Opera, and as an extra percussionist with the Naples Philharmonic, Sarasota Orchestra and Southwest Florida Symphony. When not performing in the pit at TheatreZone, he can be found in the pit orchestra of The Naples Players.

Hunter Dahlen (Jay)

Hunter was born and raised in the tropical paradise of SWFL and found a passion for music at a young age. Some highlights from his musical adventure include Hunter’s first performance as a violinist in Bacalar, Mexico c. 2003, performing as a violist with the Florida Ambassadors of Music for their 2009 tour of Europe, winning 1st place in the 2011 SWFL Singer/Songwriter Competition, and giving multiple performances with the Jazz Society of Ecuador. All of these experiences culminated in the study of music performance at Florida Gulf Coast University. He is currently based out of Nashville, Tennessee.

Chris Dieman (Jerry Lee Lewis)

Chris is an actor and composer based in New York. He has worked with the likes of David Hyde Pierce, Liesl Tommy, Marin Mazzie, Bridget Everett, Julia Murney and Walter Bobbie, among others. Chris works most frequently as a music assistant to John Kander, most recently on New York, New York. Chris’ Favorite NYC acting credits include the world premieres of As I Lay Dying (BRIC), We Were Wild Once (NYTW), and Ghost Variations (Dutch Kills Theatre). As a composer, he has written one-man shows, scores for film, and three full length musicals. BFA Tisch/NYU. IG: @chrisdieman

Sam C. Jones (Carl Perkins/Music Director)

TheatreZone debut! This marks Sam’s 8th MDQ overall. Previous MDQ’s include: Ogunquit Playhouse, Bucks County Playhouse, Rocky Mountain Rep, The Hippodrome, Broadway by the Bay, SLO Rep and Norwegian Cruise Lines. Other music director credits include: Pump Boys & Dinettes and Much Ado About Nothing (Stonington Opera House). Sam is a proud graduate of Christopher Newport University. Cody Taylor (Johnny Cash)

Originally hailing from Lexington, KY, Cody is an actor, musician, and clown/physical comedian. Some regional credits include: Indecent, Ragtime (American Stage Theatre); Narnia the Musical (West Virginia Public Theatre); UrinetownLa Cage Aux Folles (Studio Theatre Tierra del Sol); Once (Red Mountain Theatre); The Lion, the Witch and the WardrobeThe Little MermaidTwas the Night (Lexington Children’s Theatre); Unto These Hills (Mountainside Theatre); Equivocation (Athenswest Theatre); The Gathering (Cherokee Historical Association). He holds a B.F.A. in physical theatre from Coastal University. He also studied a year abroad at the Accademia dell’Arte in Arezzo, Italy.

Jesse Plourde (Elvis Presley)

Hailing from Lawrence, Massachusetts, Jesse is excited to be making his TheatreZone debut in this production of Million Dollar Quartet. Some of his productions of note include: Hairspray and Footloose (ensemble) at Jenny Wiley Theatre, Million Dollar Quartet (Elvis Presley) at The Candlelight, Bright Star (Daryl Ames), Million Dollar Quartet (Sam Phillips), Little Women (Laurie) at Mountain Movers Theatre Company, Paramount Arts Centers production of The Rocky Horror Show (Brad Majors), and as Tully in La Comedia Dinner Theater’s production of Jimmy Buffett’s Escape to Margaritaville. Jesse thanks his family and friends for all of their love and support. Jennifer Wingerter (Dyanne)

 Jennifer is jazzed to be making her TheatreZone debut in three shows this season! A New Yorker from the Midwest and now living in Florida, Jennifer has performed all over the country and internationally on the National Tour of Mamma Mia! Other NYC and regional favorites include: Mrs. Walker-The Who’s Tommy, Janet-The Drowsy Chaperone, Anytime Annie-42nd Street, Sally-Me and My Girl, Millie-Thoroughly Modern Millie, Helen/Alison/Medium Alison/Joan-Fun Home, Lydia-All My Sons, Tzeitel-Fiddler on the Roof, Natalie/Miss Sandra-All Shook, Penny-Hairspray.
