A note from Mark Danni, TheatreZone Founding Artistic Director
Dear TheatreZone family,
Our patrons, actors, musicians, stagehands, ushers, staff and other dedicated teammates are at the heart of all we do. Our commitment to everyone’s well-being stands firm as the broader impact of coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to reveal itself.
In following the direction of local and national public health authorities, we have made the painful decision to suspend all performances and events through May 18.
The COVID-19 outbreak creates especially challenging– and potentially devastating –circumstances throughout the entire performing arts community. Actors, musicians, directors, choreographer, music director, set, lighting, sound, costume designers, stage managers, stage crew, and box office staff are all losing work.
To put things into perspective, our losses from Gypsy were somewhat mitigated at approximately $10,000, thanks to our generous supporters and season ticket holders. However, refunding every I Love My Wife ticket holder would result in losses approaching $80,000, a significant economic impact.
Now more than ever, we need your help. Please, if you can, consider your tickets a tax-deductible donation to TheatreZone. However, should you need a refund, we will absolutely oblige. Just call our box office, 888-966-3352 x1, and we will gladly assist you.
As the situation evolves over the coming weeks, we will share news as it becomes available. During this time, we take comfort in recognizing multiple opportunities to help each other. Let’s use this time to unite as a community and support each other through conversation, kindness and compassion.
Thank you for your continued generosity and support, and for being part of the TheatreZone family.
